President Buhari Never Ordered Sales Of 9 Private Jets – Presidency Says

Reports some hours ago claimed that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammed Buhari, ordered the sale of 9 private jets so as to cut costs.

Well, there’s been a development to that report as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, denied knowledge of such directive.

Speaking to Premium Times, the President representative said:


“The story of the order for the sale of aircrafts in the Presidential Fleet, about which so much interest is being expressed, is not known to us,”

Mr. Shehu said.

The special adviser to the president also added that, if anything like that was being contemplated, the Presidency would issue a statement through its official channels to announce it.
